Who is responsible

acnetreatmentathome.org is a standalone site and the one responsible for the personal data on this page. Questions about your data go to privacy@acnetreatmentathome.org.

What we collect

How the statistics travel

Your browser posts statistics to /api/step on this site. That endpoint passes them to an analytics provider (EU) that keeps them on servers in the European Union. Your IP address goes along so a rough country and city can be derived. A random code in session storage links the pages of a single visit and is gone once the tab closes, so one visit can't be tied to the next. Statistics use no cookies. Visitors in the EU are counted only after they pick "Allow".

The skin analysis link

Every "Start my analysis" button goes through acnetreatmentathome.org/home-check and then on to acne.today, a separate paid service. The address tells acne.today that you came from this site, which button you used and, if you used the remedy check, the verdict you were looking at. Photos, answers and payments you give acne.today are covered by its own privacy policy.

How long data is kept

Server logs: 90 days at most. Emails: as long as needed to help you, two years at most.

Who receives data

Just the analytics provider and the hosting provider, each with only what it needs. We never sell data.

Your rights

You can ask to see, fix or erase your data, receive a copy, restrict how it is used or object to its use. Email privacy@acnetreatmentathome.org and you will hear back within four weeks. You can also complain to the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens) or the regulator in your own country.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes too.
